Engineering principles of farm structures design; design criteria for construction structures; cost estimates and specifications; materials of engineering concepts such as defects, strengthening, analytical techniques, and material selection. 5 hrs (2 class, 3 comp). ABE 57 Field Hydrology (formerly ABE 71) (3).

Hydrology processes and their interaction with the earth and atmosphere; stream flow hydrographs; hydrologic routing; probability in hydrology and water quality; mathematical models. 5 hrs (2 class, 3 lab). PR. COI (1,2)

ABE 62 Environmental Control Engineering (formerly ABE 12) (3).

Analysis and design of environmental control in agricultural structures with emphasis on tropical conditions; principles of controlled environment agriculture. 5 hrs (2 class, 3 comp). PR. ABE 52. (1,2)

ABSE 152 Agricultural Structures II (formerly ABE 111) (3).

Design methods and codes for timber, steel and reinforced concrete structures; design and construction of farm structures; agricultural infrastructure development;  work  engineering and contracts. 5 hrs (2 class, 3 comp). PR. ABE 62. (1)

ABSE 162 Agricultural Waste Management (formerly ABE 112) (3).

Principles of agricultural waste management; collection, storage, transport, treatment and utilization of agricultural waste. 5 hrs (2 class, 3 comp). PR ABE 62. (2)

ABSE 172 Farmstead Planning (formerly ABE 113) (3).

Basic concepts and fundamentals of farmstead planning; layout and organization of farm- stead systems. 3 hrs (class). PR. ABE 62 . (2)

ABSE 181 Spatial Analysis in Hydrometeorology (formerly ABE 114) (3).

ABE 198 Industry Immersion Program for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Stu- dents (3).

Supervised work experience in public or private institutions involved in de- sign, operations, processing, manufacturing and marketing, soil and water conservation systems and facilities, waste utilization systems and facilities, and renewable energy systems; and other related engineering facilities and equipment. 240 hrs (internship).
